Convergence programmes are documents in which EU Member States that are not members of the Eurozone clarify their medium-term budgetary strategies. They should contribute, through mutual surveillance and coordination of budgetary policies, to greater fiscal discipline and thereby to fulfilling obligations under the Stability and Growth Pact. Documents of a similar nature that are processed by Eurozone countries are called stability programmes.

The institution responsible for drawing up convergence programmes in the Czech Republic is the Ministry of Finance. The first convergence programme was submitted in 2004 after the accession to the European Union.
